The Story
CarSnipe was built by Pablo Carrau, a software developer with firsthand experience buying and flipping cars on Facebook Marketplace. After losing out on multiple well-priced vehicles — clean, reliable cars priced hundreds or thousands below market — to buyers who responded faster, Pablo got tired of being second in line.
The problem wasn't finding listings. It was finding them fast enough. Good deals appear and disappear within minutes. Facebook's own notifications were unreliable and slow. Third-party tools either required handing over login credentials to some random server, or simply repackaged the same delayed results. After losing out on the third perfect listing in a row, the decision was obvious: build something better.
CarSnipe has been running in production since 2024, monitoring real Facebook Marketplace listings for real buyers across the U.S. Pablo continues to build and operate the platform, using the same tool he built for himself to surface deals before anyone else sees them.
What CarSnipe Does
CarSnipe is a Windows desktop application that continuously monitors Facebook Marketplace for vehicle listings matching your criteria — make, model, year, price range, mileage, and location. When a new match appears, it sends an instant alert to your phone via Telegram with the listing details and a direct link. You see it first, you respond first, you get the deal.
Our Approach
- Privacy-first: Your Facebook session runs locally on your machine. We never ask for your Facebook password, and your credentials never leave your computer.
- Speed-focused: Pro users get checks every 3 minutes. Basic users every 15. Either way, you're ahead of anyone relying on Facebook's built-in alerts.
- Simple pricing: Basic starts at $9.99/mo, Pro at $24.99/mo. No hidden fees, no upsells. Annual plans save you two months.
- Try before you buy: Every new user gets a 7-day free trial with full Pro-level access. Cancel anytime before the trial ends and you will not be charged.
