The Story

CarSnipe was built by a software developer with firsthand experience buying and flipping cars on Facebook Marketplace. After losing out on multiple well-priced vehicles — clean, reliable cars priced hundreds or thousands below market — to buyers who responded faster, being second in line got old.

The problem wasn't finding listings. It was finding them fast enough. Good deals appear and disappear within minutes. Facebook's own notifications were unreliable and slow. Third-party tools either required handing over login credentials to some random server, or simply repackaged the same delayed results. After losing out on the third perfect listing in a row, the decision was obvious: build something better.

CarSnipe has been running in production since 2024, monitoring real Facebook Marketplace listings for real buyers across the U.S. It is still built and run by the same developer, using the same tool he built for himself to surface deals before anyone else sees them. Built by Flippers, for Flippers

CarSnipe wasn't built in a boardroom. It came out of the frustration of sourcing cars on Facebook Marketplace and watching good listings vanish before we could reply. If you resell cars, you know the feeling: a clean vehicle posts a few hundred under market, you message the seller, and someone beat you to it by ten minutes. That gap between "listed" and "sold" is where the money is, and it's the reason CarSnipe exists.

What CarSnipe Does

CarSnipe is a browser extension for Chrome, Edge, Brave and Firefox that continuously monitors Facebook Marketplace for vehicle listings matching your criteria — make, model, year, price range, mileage, and location. When a new match appears, it sends an instant alert to your phone via Telegram with the listing details and a direct link. You see it first, you respond first, you get the deal.

Why Speed Wins Deals

The best-priced cars don't sit. The people who land them consistently aren't luckier, they just see the listing first. CarSnipe checks Marketplace on a tight loop, every 3 minutes on Pro, and pushes a Telegram alert the second a match shows up, so you're messaging the seller while the listing is still warm. Being first in the inbox is often the whole negotiation.

Who It's For

CarSnipe is built for car flippers and resellers, and for anyone chasing one specific vehicle who doesn't want to refresh Marketplace all day. If you're still working out which cars actually turn a profit, our guide to the best cars to flip for profit and our walkthrough on how to flip cars on Facebook Marketplace cover the sourcing side. CarSnipe takes care of the part that's miserable to do by hand: watching every new listing around the clock.

How It Fits Your Buying Workflow

You set your criteria once: make, model, year, price, mileage, and search radius. After that CarSnipe runs in the background and only pings you when something matches, so there are no dashboards to sit and watch. If you want to see how it stacks up against the alternatives, we keep an honest rundown of Facebook Marketplace monitoring tools. When you're ready, install the extension and set up your first search in a few minutes.
