In the app
- Open CarSnipe and tap Account at the bottom.
- Scroll down and tap Delete account.
- Tap Delete for good.
It happens right away. If you have a plan, it ends at that moment and you won't be charged again.
Without the app
If you use CarSnipe through Telegram or the browser extension, or you've removed the app, ask us and we'll do it for you:
- Email support@carsnipe.com from the email address you use with CarSnipe, with "Delete my account" in the subject. If you only use Telegram, include your Telegram username.
- Or message @CarSnipeBot on Telegram and say you want your account deleted.
We check the request comes from you, cancel your plan and delete the account within 7 days, then write back to say it's done.
What gets deleted
- Your sign-in details: Google account ID, email address, Telegram ID and name.
- Your searches, settings, location, saved and hidden cars, and alert history.
- Your devices, their reports and anything they sent about your searches.
- Your help chat and support messages.
What we keep
- Stripe keeps its own record of payments you made, as tax law requires.
- Backup copies of our database can hold your data for up to 30 days, until they are deleted.
- Names and IDs of Facebook sellers we've seen are kept for every customer's dealer checks. They were never linked to your name.
Only want to stop paying?
You don't have to delete anything. Cancel your plan in the app under Account, then Your plan, or with /cancel in Telegram. Your searches stay saved in case you come back.
